Guy Camirand, aka Merlinpinpin, believes that his show should enhance the self-esteem of all the children involved. This is why all embarrassing situations are avoided, and each child comes away feeling happy and special.
For more than 40 years, magic has been a passion for Guy Camirand, an electronic engineer from Laval University (Class of '67), and a Harvard MBA (Class of 1970). In 1978, he began The Camirand Academy of Magic, a publishing house for magic tricks and books that has gained international acclaim. In 1991, what was to be a part-time business became a full-time occupation.
Building on his ability to communicate with children, Guy created Merlinpinpin, a character that is suited to children from 3 to 12 years old. However, this show will amaze and entertain adults as well, because fun is contagious! A Merlinpinpin show will be most welcome at any type of party, in your home, on your lawn, at a school or in a church.
In 2007, he receive from the Canadian Association of Magicians a lifetime award for his contribution to the advancement of the art of magic in Canada and the world through his publications and DVD. En 2009, he received a President Citation from the International Brotherhood of Magicians for his contribution to the advancement of magical art in the world.
